3D Design
- "The pen tablet provides an ideal bridge from the analogue to
the digital world. Using a pen and tablet is the only way that you can
put into practice the artistic skills gained at an early age from pen
and paper.“
Max Zimmermann,
Director at Fiftyeight 3D, Germany
- "In our line of business, our customers often take a keen interest
in following the work of the designers and frequently come up with special
requests. We can only achieve the right balance between getting the
job done and introducing an element of individual creativity if we don't
have to worry about the tools we're using. At
the end of the day, a pen is just a pen. Sometimes it's easy to forget
that a Wacom pen is actually electronic.”
Rocco Schult, Operations Manager at Treibhaus Postproduction
AG, Zürich Switzerland
Architectural Design
- "The benefit of my D-Board? I can draw initial sketches
freehand and make intuitive changes to plans or photos, communicating
directly
with employees and owners - in a very impressive manner. And by
the way - we already have three D-Boards."
Karsten Winkels, Head Designer, Bauwerkstadt, Dortmund/Germany
Digital Photography
- „At my desk, the Cintiq has become my daily companion. After
my trips, I need to do a lot of
retouching, e.g. to delete disturbing artefacts. With the Cintiq, this
only takes up a third of the time I would
need with a normal mouse.“
Martin Brent, Photographer, Bromsgrove UK
Education and Presentation
- "Without Interactive Pen Displays, IT-based transmission of lectures
with annotations would suffer a big loss of quality and acceptance. The use
of the Interactive Pen Displays with their high reproduction quality allows
us to broadcast lectures directly within the campus, reaching far more students
than otherwise possible."
Dipl.-Math. Klaus Scheibenberger, Head of the Technical Infrastructure Department, Technical University Karlsruhe/Germany
Industrial Design
- With the Cintiq Interactive Pen Displays, our workstations are just
as intuitive as before when we did everything by hand, but now they are much
more flexible. In addition, the all-digital workflow allows us to work more
efficiently: drafts are more accurate and postprocessing hand-drawn sketches
is no longer necessary. This leaves us with more room for creativity, which
is important if we want to continue making the best kitchen and bath products
available.
Marc Fromme, CAD- Designer,
GROHE Design Center, Hemer/Germany
Medical
- “Sirona’s CEREC InLab and Wacom’s Interactive Pen
Display have made the switch from traditional and manual methods to
working digitally extremely easy: The display's pen is both my digital
wax knife and milling instrument rolled into one.”
Guido Wolters, Dental Laboratory Wolters, Krefeld/Germany
- „Being able to work directly on the Cintiq's screen with the
pen has enabled us to determine target volumes more precisely and efficiently.
This has improved radiotherapy planning and has made a decisive contribution
in optimising patient treatment.“
Dr. Ulrich Wolf, Medical physicist and head physicist
at the Leipzig University Hospital, Germany
